Health and safety are core priorities
The health and safety of our employees and contractors are core priorities for us, and we have a strong focus on ensuring that the workforce has a safe and healthy working environment. We have a zero-accident vision and work proactively with risk assessments for operational activities to identify, prevent, and mitigate potential hazards.
All of the company’s wind farm technicians are certified and receive regular training in accordance with international safety standards (GWO and equivalent), which set safety guidelines for personnel working in the wind power industry. Suppliers and contractors in our operational business are also selected and assessed with respect to their health and safety standards.
For our construction projects, all workers, contractors, and visitors are subject to safety induction sessions to be informed of site-specific safety guidance and the importance of reporting all safety observations and incidents. We have a no-blame policy, and the workforce understands that reporting incidents is fundamental for learning lessons and preventing reoccurrences. A whistleblowing process is in place to further ensure that incidents or presumed incidents can be reported anonymously. All serious incidents are investigated to identify lessons and implement improvement actions to prevent reoccurrences.
More information around our health and safety work can be found in our Annual and Sustainability Report and in our Health and Safety Policy.
